CANDY AFFAIR PARTY with MONA MUR & EN ESCH + TANZ OHNE MUSIK

       Andrei Moroianu and Lux Noctis are pleased to invite you on Thursday, April 7th, to Candy Affair Party, an event which is held in the well-known alternative club, Control (19 Academiei St., Bucharest)! This party’s special guests are Mona Mur & En Esch (DE) and the Bucharest project Tanz Ohne Musik, who promise you a seductive evening!



       Candy Affair Party wants to be more than just a party: it will include 2 live acts, 2 DJs and a contest with prizes in CDs and T-shirts! Also, all participants can get sweetened by a large variety of candy, offered by the organizers.

       Two international leading artists will please your visual and auditory senses on electro, post-punk and new wave tones, all blended with the dramatic and passionate voice of the beautiful Mona. Fans of Siouxsie Sioux, Lydia Lunch, Nico or even Marianne Faithfull must certainly not miss this event, held for the first time in Romania! The opening act, Tanz Ohne Musik, will warm-up the atmosphere on minimal wave, experimental and industrial rhythms and Vali Chincisan’s video projections will introduce you to a fairy, timeless world!

       The show starts at 22:00, followed by the actual party at 00:00, at which point we will announce the lucky winners! Post-punk, synthpop, electro, indie, new wave, darkwave, 80’s etc are just a few of the musical genres you’ll hear at the party. Doors open at 21:00.

       Tickets cost 25 lei and can be bought directly from the club, in the evening of the event.

Mona Mur & En Esch Bio


       Mona Mur is a German vocalist and composer, launched in 1982 together with the members of the famous avant-garde group Einstürzende Neubauten - FM Einheit, Marc Chung and Alexander Hacke. This collaboration brings her the international success through 80’s underground hits such as “Snake”, “120 Tage“ or “Eintagsfliegen”. With the release of “Jeszcze Polska” (1982), Mona Mur conquers London New Musical Express's Single of the Week slot and captures John Peel’s attention.
       In 1990 Mona Mur and her producer, Yello's Dieter Meier, hires the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and Polish rockstar/ producer Grzegorz Ciechowski for the album “Warsaw”. Ten years later Mona releases “Mesczysny”, an album that enters the national charts. The single “Paintings” quickly becomes a hit single and is sold in more than 70,000 copies.
       Her tune is not for the musical scene only, the artist also composed songs for computer games such as: Ballance (Atari USA /Japan 2006,) Velvet Assassin (Replaystudios/SouthPeak 2009) or Culpa Innata II (Momentum 2009) or the soundtrack of the movie "Head On/Gegen die Wand" (Berlin Golden Bear 2004), which was worldwide awarded (Berlin Golden Bear 2004, European Film Award 2004).



       En Esch is known for his distinctive and charismatic voice alongside with his passionate stage performance. He is also one of the founding members of the KMFDM, a pioneer band known for introducing industrial rock to the mainstream public along with Ministry (they toured together in the U.S.A. in 1990), Nine Inch Nails or Skinny Puppy. KMFDM sold millions of records all over the world (2 million only in the U.S.A.) plus over 100,000 copies of singles that became club hits and topped the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs. The artist has contributed as vocalist, drummer, guitarist and programmer to 14 albums and 20 singles during the period 1985-1999. En Esch & KMFDM also appear on various soundtracks of Hollywood movies like: Hideaway, Johnny Memonic, Mortal Combat, Bad Boys etc.
       The musician is involved in two other projects – Pigface and Slick Idiot – and collaborated with bands like Kastrierte Philosophen, Girls Under Glass, Excessive Force, Sister Machine Gun, Chem Lam, More Machine Than Man and Edge Of Dawn to name just a few.



       In 2007 En Esch starts collaborating with Mona Mur, project founded with the album “120 Tage – The Fine Art of Beauty and Violence” (Pale Music Int.) in 2009. The duo performed in countries of 3 continents (Europe, Asia and North America) and took part in music festivals such as: Drop Dead Festival and Alternativa Festival from Czech Republic, Wroclaw Industrial Festival from Poland, Wave Gothic Treffen and Kurt-Weill-Festival from Germany, where they performed in front of thousands of people.

Tanz Ohne Musik Bio


       Tanz Ohne Musik is an experimental/minimal wave/industrial/drone/electronics solo project, founded in 2008 by the talented Romanian artist, Dan Serbanescu. The musician is already known as a member of The Pixels and founder of Divine Muzak.



       TOM is conceived as a live act with 100% hardware synthesizers and has visual support created by Vali Chincisan. Although a fresh band, Tanz Ohne Muzik took part to 2 editions of the Cybermental Festival (2008 and 2009) and also performed at Expiff (International Experimental Film Festival in 2010).
